Organic Charcoal & Patchouli Soap

Sodium olicate (olive pomace oil), sodium cocoate (organic coconut oil), shea butterate (African organic unrefined shea butter), sodium canolate (organic castor oil), aqua (water), kaolin (Cornish clay), carbon (Dorset oak charcoal) pogostemon cablin leaf oil (patchouli), rosemarinus officinalis leaf oil (rosemary), limonene*, linalool*.

*Naturally occurring in essential oils.

Our soaps are made in small batches here in Chettle, Dorset. As with all our products, we use exceptional quality organic and plant-based ingredients sourced from as close to home as possible. Following the traditional cold process soapmaking method ensures that the natural glycerine is retained.

This is a handcrafted product. Colours and designs vary between batches. Bars are cured for a minimum of 6 weeks. The final weight after curing ranges between 90 - 110g.

For maximum longevity, keep dry between uses on a well-drained soap dish.

Charcoal is an ancient material, with a new face. The first recorded use of charcoal was around 30,000 BC when it was used as a pigment in cave paintings. It was used medicinally by the Ancient Egyptians, the Ancient Greeks to cure food poisoning, and the Ancient Hindus and Phoenicians to purify water. This magnificent black powder with its detoxifying, oil-balancing powers has now been embraced by the cosmetic industry. Our cosmetic-grade charcoal comes from sustainably managed oak woodlands here in Dorset.
