Organic Clay & Cedarwood Soap

Sodium olicate (olive pomace oil), sodium cocoate (organic coconut oil), shea butterate (African organic unrefined shea butter), sodium canolate (organic castor oil), aqua (water), kaolin (Cornish clay), montmorillonite (French green clay), cedrus atlantica bark oil (organic cedarwood atlas oil), rosemarinus officinalis leaf oil (organic rosemary oil), lavandula angustifollia oil (organic lavender oil), limonene*, linalool*, geraniol*.  * Occurs naturally in essential oils. 

Our soaps are handcrafted in small batches here in Chettle, a small village in the heart of rural Dorset.

Using the highest quality plant based ingredients, we follow the traditional cold processed method ensuring the natural glycerin is retained. Every bar is cured for 6 weeks, and is entirely unique. Colours and designs may vary between batches.

The final weight after curing ranges between 90 - 110g.

Natural clays have been a part of our beauty routines since pre-historic times.  Scriptures from Ancient Mesopotamia, China, Egypt, and Greece, speak of treatments with ‘medicinal earth’. Here in Dorset, our Anglo-Saxon ancestors used the abundant chalk of southern England to polish their teeth, as did the Romans. Across cultures, many people still use concoctions of clay mixed with water or herbal infusions to clean wounds, calm irritations, and cleanse the skin.

We use a variety of natural clays in our soaps, including locally sourced Cornish Kaolin, French green clay, and French pink clay.
