Organic Nettle & Peppermint Soap

Our soaps are made in small batches here in Chettle, Dorset. As with all our products, we use exceptional quality organic and plant-based ingredients sourced from as close to home as possible. Following the traditional cold-process soap making method ensures that the natural glycerine is retained.

This is a handcrafted product. Colours and designs vary between batches. Bars are cured for a minimum of 6 weeks. The final weight after curing ranges between 90 - 110g.

For maximum longevity, keep dry between uses on a well-drained soap dish.

In Old English, stiðe aka nettle is one of the nine plants invoked in the pagan Anglo-Saxon Nine Herbs Charm, recorded in 10th-century traditional medicine. In ‘Culpeper’s Complete Herbal’, a classic tome written in the 17th century by English botanist, herbalist, physician and astrologer, Nicolas Culpeper, he notes: “Nettles are so well known, they need no description; they may be found by feeling, in the darkest night.” Thankfully the nettle soap we produce at Dyppe harnesses the healing powers of nettle, and is totally sting free!
