Sodium olicate, sodium cocoate, caprae lac (goat's milk), aqua, sodium shea butterate, sodium canolate, lavandula angustifolia oil (lavender), mel (honey), limonene*, linalool*, geraniol*.

* Occurs naturally in essential oils. 

Our soaps are handcrafted in small batches here in Chettle, a small village in the heart of rural Dorset.

Using the highest quality plant based ingredients, we follow the traditional cold processed method ensuring the natural glycerin is retained. Every bar is cured for 6 weeks, and is entirely unique. Colours and designs may vary between batches.

The final weight after curing ranges between 90 - 110g.

Lavender was first brought to Britain by the Romans. We don't know if lavender was already growing on British soils before they invaded, but we do know Roman soldiers carried it their ‘first aid kits‘ of herbs, growing lavender - as well as other herbs like rosemary, parsley, sage , thyme, fennel, borage, and others - wherever their armies set up camp.

The Romans knew about lavender's healing properties, using it in massage, to scent the water of their public baths, and to honour their gods. The plant's name is derived from the Latin word lavandum which means ‘fit for washing‘.
